Can I adopt two single rabbits to create a bonded pair?
In summary, this is indeed feasible.
Nevertheless, whenever possible, we encourage adopters seeking to welcome two or more rabbits to consider one of our pre-bonded pairs or small groups.
There are two key reasons for this:
Firstly, it spares new owners the challenge of bonding the rabbits themselves.
Secondly, and perhaps more critically, many individuals approaching the rescue already have a single rabbit and are seeking companionship for their existing pet. Consequently, our single rabbits tend to find new homes relatively quickly. In contrast, bonded pairs often remain at the rescue for a longer period as we await adopters specifically looking to adopt a pair.
If you do decide to continue with your enquiry for two single rabbits, we can support bonding, and the various options for this can be found at https://belovedrabbits.org/bonding
